London is not only the capital of England and the country’s biggest city, it ranks amongst the most famous and most significant metropolises of the world due to its long and momentous history, its outstanding cultural sector and its role as one of the world’s most important financial markets.With around 7.5 million inhabitants and countless theatres, museums, clubs and restaurants, London has something for everyone and is definitely worth visting.

Since London is such a huge city one simply cannot explore everything by foot. Therefore you will soon come to appreciate the tube, London’s famous underground train, which is the obvious choice if you want to move around quickly. It serves 270 stations and is one of the largest metro systems in the world, transporting roughly 3 million people per day.If you don’t need to hasten and want to see part of the distance you are covering, you can always go by bus. Alternatively there’s the possibility to rent bicycles online or at a bike shop. If the weather isn’t too bad this is one of the best ways to discover London because you have the freedom of being able to go where you want and you are independent of any schedules. Furthermore renting a bike is quite cheap and you will also find that when going by bike you automatically grasp the city much better because you actually see and decide for yourself where you are going.London has a very active biking scene and BMX races are held on a regular basis. If you are interested in that, go visit a BMX shop and get some further information. You are also likely to be able to rent a bike there.
