There is so much to see and learn and because I live in London my preference is to make regular short visits - only possible whilst entrance is free. Now the colour of the government has changed I only hope they don't start introducing fees again! If that is a possibility, I would like to suggest doing what the Russians did when they were in financial difficulty - differential pricing for visitors and 'locals'. Just take your council tax bill and still get in 'free'? - because we still pay from our taxes! Typical British understatement of this wonderful Museum.

And there's no need to stay and pay in Kensington to visit the museums.
