Castle of Mey
Castle of Mey, Caithness, Scotland
+44 1847 851227 Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's Scottish Highland retreat
opens to the public. The Queen Mother, who died last year, bought and restored
the castle near Thurso, 125 miles north of Inverness, after the death of her
husband King George VI. She requested that the 16th-century castle and gardens
be maintained for the public after her death.

Clarence House Summer Opening
Clarence House, London
Clarence House, which is to be the Prince of Wales's official London residence,
is to open to the public. It was the London home of the late Queen Elizabeth,
the Queen Mother, from 1953-2002. The house has recently undergone an extensive
refurbishment and redecoration. The summer opening provides an opportunity for
visitors to have a guided tour of the five rooms on the ground floor where
official engagements will be undertaken and important guests from the UK and
overseas will be received. The Prince of Wales is moving from York House in St
James's Palace to Clarence House which will also be the official London
residence for his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Beatles Tour
